About me and this blog!

Wow, I’m truly flattered you stumbled over here!

I called this blog “28 and Counting” because I really still believe I’m 28 years old.  It’s been a while since that 28th birthday and I realize that the time since 28 has been filled with exciting opportunities and wonderful perspective.  It’s time I devote some effort to counting my blessings instead of only counting the years as they go by!

You’ll see posts relating to moments of “collective greatness” seen in my life as a leadership educator and as a doctoral student in higher education leadership.   Life working with college students is truly a remarkable lifestyle and I’m excited to share those moments here.

You’ll also hear some things about my life as a mom as well.  The most impressive “emerging leader” in my life is certainly my 7 year old son! He’s kind of entertaining and it’s also been a lot of fun to see how spending so much time on campus has influenced his growth.

I’ll let you know that this journey into blogging on my own won’t be without bumps and bruises.  I’m looking forward to the ride!

  2. Wait a second… you’re a PhD student, mother and a director? And you also update this blog to share the higher ed magic? I’m impressed. Thanks for sharing and contributing to the SA virtual community.
